General

  • Warranty is return to base – freight both ways payable by purchaser.
  • Warranty is limited to only the cost of the item itself.
  • Exclusions to warranty is detailed further down the page, eg wear and tear, fastener pulled through rubber issues, etc.

Type L, 1, 2, 3 ramps and Car Stops
1 year against structural splitting.

Structural Splitting
Defined to be a crack which is longer than either the width or length of the product whichever is the lesser and in which the entire crack goes right through the product. Splitting and cracks along the edges is considered wear and tear. Warranty does not apply to damage(s) caused by vehicles and equipment, which by contacting the ramp in a manner beyond what the ramp can handle, tears and destroys the rubber from its fixings. In our ads we might have indicated that these ramps can bear the weight of vehicles of several tons. This statement however refers only to the ramp being strong enough so as not to buckle. We are not able to warrant the ramp if the vehicle tears the rubber from its fixings which could happen if the vehicle does a power turn over the ramps and/or if a heavy vehicle suddenly accelerates while on the ramp and tears it from its fixings. Excessive impact by vehicles which snaps the ramp or car stop causing structural splitting is also not covered by warranty.

Other Warranty Exclusions are given below.

Warranty Exclusions

1. Wear and Tear

We do not warrant against any wear and tear whatsoever. Automobiles are heavy objects and we cannot guarantee our rubber ramps will not get nicked, or the ramp especially the edges gets worn out etc.

It is also impossible to control what other road users would do to the ramps; eg. heavy trucks making power steering over the ramps.

Our ramps are to be considered as a medium term consumable item. After it gets worn out, you replace them as you would a brake pad or a car tyre.

They are meant to serve a purpose and in so doing they suffer the odd cut or nick. There is plenty of rubber in our ramps so that even with the odd damage/cut, they still function well.

We expect you will get quite a few years of service with these ramps. Probably on average 9 to 11 years for private residences.

Upwards of 3000 properties in Australia since 2015 have our ramps with many of our first customers still using the ramps. The cost vs service life ratio is favourable.

Exposed edges, especially the edge of an upper row of ramp is subject to the greatest wear and tear. With use, especially at the beginning, edges do get beveled off but this in most cases does not impact functionality. Once the edges get bevelled off, the rate of wear and tear slows.

expected beveling of edges

Minimise steering your wheels while in contact with the ramps.

As mentioned earlier, as with car tyres or brake pads, you cannot expect rubber to last forever. After a few years, you just need to buy new ones to replace the most worn out ones.

2. Minor manufacturing imperfections
NonWarrantyImperfections
Minor manufacturing imperfections like, but not limited to, the ones you see in the pic are not covered by warranty nor exchangeable.

All our ramps supplied to you have passed a certain standard of quality which ensures you get the full use out of the ramps. You can expect the ramps to last a good number of years.

Some of our quality passed ramps will however have those minor manufacturing imperfections.

The imperfections mentioned are minor and will not reduce the service life of the ramps. The cracks and fissures will not propagate.

To keep costs down, we are not able to completely eliminate these minor manufacturing imperfections. These ramps are medium term consumable items and these slight imperfections are not significant.

3. Damage due to fitting onto surfaces that are not flat
Our ramps are to be fitted onto flat concrete/bitumen. . If the surface you are fitting the ramps onto is not flat, please refer to the page item on installation to see suggested ways of mitigating the “not-flat” issue.

4. Concrete fasteners being pulled through the rubber
Our ramps are for vehicles going up and down the ramp smoothly. Sometimes, a heavy vehicle doing a power serve, or suddenly accelerating while on the ramp is enough to tear the concrete fasteners from the ramp. This may only be one of the causes of the concrete fastener being pulled through the rubber. This damage is not covered by warranty.

If the pull through happens, you should be able to repair the ramp by packing the honeycomb cavity of the ramp under with a cementitious product such as a concrete repair product or expanding grout.
